FRANS Burwood Coffee Club Photobook
This photobook documents the activities of the Burwood Coffee Club, a program coordinated by FRANS Community Access. Community Access programs provide social opportunities for children and adults with low to moderate needs to engage with their peers and the community in a supported and age appropriate group environment. The Burwood Coffee Club is a group for adults older than 25 years where a variety of weekly activities are planned by the participants, offering independence and friendship in a supported social context.
This publication is a result of a documentary project undertaken from November 2012 through to February 2013. The aim was to document the Club’s activities by photographing the participants enjoying the varied program activities, socializing with their friends and interacting with support workers and volunteers. During the project some interviews were recorded with additional comments gathered from the participants to complement the images.
